Counselling is a talking therapy set in a private safe place where you can explore your thought, feelings, emotions and behaviours.

What can I expect from the first session?

First/assessment session is used for taking details, I will ask what has brought you to counselling and the problems you are having. In the first session you may feel nervous, as I am new to you, but hopefully you will soon feel at ease and feel more comfortable.

How often are Sessions?

Sessions initially, usually are weekly, they can space out to fortnightly and sometimes a monthly check-in session is useful.

What sort of problems can counselling help with?

Engaging in therapy and with the therapist, being as open and honest as you possibly can, will give counselling the best possible chance of success. Growth and self-development is key to finding a way though what you are experiencing and my job is to keep you on track in the direction of finding the answers you need, whatever the presenting problems are.
